Todd demands Ron Johnson admit “that this election was fair”, says calls for election audit destroying democracy
NBC News hatchet man Chuck Todd went ballistic on Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.) over his decision to join 11 other senators in objecting to the certification of electors on January 6.
The objection by the 12 senators, who have also called for an emergency 10-day audit by an independent Electoral Commission, will open a debate and vote in the House and Senate.
“You and your colleagues have created this controversy,” Todd told Johnson on “Meet The Press” Sunday.
“We are now locked into a destructive vicious circle…You made an allegation that there was widespread fraud. You have failed to offer specific evidence of that widespread fraud. But you’re demanding an investigation on the grounds that there are allegations of widespread fraud,” Todd continued.
“So, essentially, you’re the arsonist here,” Todd said, adding that Johnson did not “have the guts to admit that this election was fair.”
Johnson noted that the proverbial “fire” started when “the mainstream media dropped any pretense of being unbiased and actually chose sides during this election.”
Todd failed to mention that Democrats themselves objected to count the electoral votes in the 2016 presidential election, citing the phony “Russia collusion” hoax.
