Fox News host accuses Democrats of keeping footage “hidden from the public for two years as a tiny group of people gets to make up stories about what happened that day.”
The Democrats and their media allies have been lying about the events that unfolded at the Capitol building on January 6 in light of new video evidence, claims Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
“The defenders of democracy are defending democracy again,” the Fox News host said Thursday on his show “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”
“They’re telling you it’s really, really dangerous. And anyone would get to see the thousands of hours of surveillance footage from January 6th, which has been hidden from the public for two years as a tiny group of people gets to make up stories about what happened that day and change the country on the basis of those stories. ”
Though he didn’t elaborate on the “tiny group of people,” Tucker likely referred to the January 6 House Committee comprised of Trump-hating Democrats and two ideologically aligned RINOs, former Reps. Liz Cheney (Wyo.) and Adam Kinzinger (Ill.).
After citing a Rasmussen poll showing 80% of U.S. voters want the “hidden” January 6 to be publicly released, Carlson explained that the same voices decrying the attack on democracy are the ones deliberately concealing the footage of said attack.
“So you’re defending democracy, but you’re denying people information on the basis of which they can make their own decisions,” he noted.
Carlson went on to suggest that the insurrection narrative the left constructed over the last two years will be exposed.
“How does that work exactly?” he asked rhetorically. “Well, it’s not democracy, of course. It’s building a bulwark against your lies being revealed. And they are lying. And we know that because we’ve been looking at the tape.”
“And they are lying, and we know that because we’ve been looking at the tapes,” Carlson said, adding revelatory footage from Jan 6 will be covered next week.
The institutional left had a fit after House Speaker Kevin McCarthy handed over 41,000+ hours of Jan. 6 footage to Carlson last month, claiming it would endanger operational security of the Capitol building.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer even called it “one of the worst security risks since 9/11.”
Given what is already known about the FBI’s use of informants and operatives to steer the events of Jan. 6 — such as Ray Epps — and the unanswered questions about the pipe bomber and the Capitol Police allowing demonstrators into the building, the new footage is sure to introduce some much-needed context of what really happened that day.
