Young Democrat part of Texas lawmaker group that fled the stateState rep admits he doesn’t believe in voter ID!

During Tuesday’s broadcast of “Fox News Primetime,” host Pete Hegseth interviewed Texas Democrat State Rep. James Talarico about why he and his colleagues decided to flee the state in order to avoid a vote on election legislation they were sure to lose.

Talarico was among several Texas Democrats who met with U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer, (D-NY) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, (D-CA) on Tuesday to gameplan their effort to resist the will of the Texas people.

Beginning the interview, Talarico bragged about being “an eighth-generation Texan,” before quickly blaming “Donald Trump” for claiming the 2020 election was stolen.

“Wait, how did you make this about Donald Trump within twenty seconds?” Hegseth asked.

Additionally, since Talarico said he was fighting to uphold the Constitution, Hegseth reminded him that Section 1, Article 4 gives power to the state legislatures not federal officials like Pelosi and Schumer.

Attempting to explain why the Texas Democrats fled to D.C. for help, Talarico claimed, “Texas is one of the places to vote in the whole country,” and said his colleagues want to make the current bill they’re trying to block “less damaging, less harmful [and] less dangerous.”

Hegseth told the young Democrat about the bill approving seventeen days of early voting and adding an hour of voting, asking why that’s not enough and if providing proof of identification is too much to ask.

Instead of answering, Talarico complained that the bill doesn’t allow counties to open voting locations 24-hours a day, to which Hegseth responded, “Is voting at 2:00 AM in the morning the key issue?”

“I have heard the hyperbole this is Jim Crow,” he continued. “This is voter suppression, this is a Civil War, from the leadership of your party. Is there currently a single example can you provide me of a registered citizen voter in Texas that can’t vote if we’re fighting a civil war here?”

“Thankfully this bill has not passed yet,” Talarico said, insinuating people couldn’t register to vote if it were.

Doubling down, Hegseth asked, “No, if the bill passes will there be any minority or woman that’s not able to vote?”

The question was not answered as the teenage-looking 32-year-old dodged it and switched the subject.

“Are you okay with voter ID?” Hegseth inquired. “How about for mail-in ballots?”

Talarico replied, “Pete, I just said I oppose voter ID,” and the shocked Fox News host blurted out, “You oppose voter ID? You don’t think the most sacred obligation of our republic, you should have to prove who you are in order to vote?”

The state rep regurgitated the left-wing narrative that many people can’t get or don’t have driver’s licenses, but in Texas people can also use their social security or state ID numbers.

Again avoiding a question, Talarico changed the subject and complained about the bill allowing “partisan poll watchers [to] look over voters’ shoulders.”

Why wouldn’t Democrats want people of both parties to oversee the election process?

Proving he lost the intellectual debate, Talarico resorted to attacking the Fox host for making “a lot of money personally and enriching corporations with advertising by spewing conspiracy theories.”

The Harvard graduate turned Texas lawmaker then claimed asking people to show ID in order to vote is an attempt to “rig the rules of the game.”

Ironically, more proof that the Democrats rigged the 2020 election surfaces every day.
