“Are you asking me if the president supports the right to choose? He does,” Psaki says.
Joe Biden’s press secretary Jen Psaki blatantly pivoted to empty political rhetoric when asked if an unborn baby is a human being.
“Does the president believe that a 15-week-old, unborn baby is a human being?” a reporter asked Psaki during a Monday press briefing.
“Are you asking me if the president supports the right to choose? He does,” Psaki replied.
No, Psaki, that’s not what the reporter asked.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and a handful of other Democrats were asked the same question in recent days in relation to an upcoming Supreme Court case reviewing Mississippi law that bans most abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy.
And in similar fashion, all the Democrats refused to directly answer the question.
“Let me just say that I am a big supporter of Roe v. Wade,” Pelosi responded last week. “I am a mother of five children in six years. I think I have some standing on this issue as to respecting a woman’s right to choose.”
Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) said the same thing when asked last week.
“I’m a supporter of a woman’s right to make their own healthcare decisions. This should be a decision between them and their doctor and their family,” Kelly said.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) outright refused to answer last week whether an 15-week-old unborn baby was a human being.
If Democrats truly had the moral high ground on this matter of abortion, they would have no difficulty answering the question head-on.
